Executive Management

As the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund (WCTF), I am entrusted with the responsibility of providing strategic and administrative leadership in the discharge of the Fund’s statutory mandate. I oversee the implementation of policies, programmes and decisions of the Governing Board and the effective administration of the Fund’s day-to-day affairs. This includes coordinating the preparation and implementation of strategic plans, annual work plans and budgets, while ensuring the prudent, transparent and accountable management of financial, human and institutional resources in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act, the WCTF Regulations, and other applicable laws, policies and Government directives.

I recognise that the effective conservation and management of Kenya’s wildlife requires sustainable financing, sound governance and strategic collaboration. In this regard, I work closely with the Governing Board, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Wildlife, Government institutions, development partners, conservation organisations and beneficiary communities to mobilise resources, strengthen partnerships, manage institutional risks and enhance the Fund’s performance. Together with the WCTF Management team, we remain committed to upholding the principles of accountability, transparency, integrity, efficiency and prudent financial management, while ensuring that the Fund’s programmes and investments are implemented in accordance with its statutory mandate and directed towards priority conservation needs. Through this approach, WCTF seeks to strengthen sustainable financing for wildlife conservation and contribute to the protection of Kenya’s wildlife, biodiversity and natural heritage for present and future generations.
